During our test shoot we realised a lot of things about our shoot at it enabled us to come up with new ideas and also take out ideas that this wasn't going to work. We worked really well as a group and we managed to get round can be struggled of having one a crew member down. This allowed us to learn and adapt and get to grips with any struggles that may come about on the day.
We believe that we got the Best replica we could from the real thing. However it was really difficult to get all our ideal shots and due to the camera being so light some of our shots are not as clear and well composed. When we went to edit we did realise that our opening title sequence was under the two minute bracket how weather you feel like this won't affect us as there are many more shots we want to include that is within our location that we just didn't have accessible to us at the time. There was also a few long gaps that were a little bit too long they got a tad boring by the end of the shot and it was a little bit predictable on what was going to happen so I think in the future we're going to chop up these bits with cut away shots of our location to break up the longer shots.Within the edit we didn't add any music over the top of it so the tension that would have been created was lacked and as well as the location we were filming our test shoot in didn't have all the corridors and rooms that we would have in our true location. This looking around in and out of rooms well how cars create tention.
Due to the limited time that we had the location for we didn't really think too much about la camera angles and completion and we mainly looked at what shots we could do and laying out our opening sequence as best as possible so therefore all camera competition was a consequence this and it wasn't the best some of the close ups and mid shots were muddled and I think this would confuse the audience on what is going on. I believe that our idea was clear to the viewer however we kept on a few things to make it extra clear, and this would be included sharper editing for me and a few more cut away shots of the location however these we lacked due to where we were.
There are definitely more shots that we want to include add more techniques for example handheld camera and using tracking shots in more detail we also want to take our time and really get our shots clear and well-focused and well composed within the screen and we just did not have the time for this during our shoot and it showed in our final edit.
I'll test you really helped us to work out the logistics and the detail of our final shoot we were able to plan out a floor plan and where everything is going to be placed and where the detector was going to walk beforehand, we didn't have this completely clear. Before the test shoot I was struggling to visualise our shoot and it was worrying me a lot and after our test you I can really get to grips of what we have to do and what we're going to do to make it the best that we possibly can and I'm now able to have a vision of what it's going to look like this wouldn't have been possible unless we didn’t do our shoot.
Things that worked well was we really liked the walking into the house with the feet stepping in and the close up on the face we felt like this went really well in the test shoot. However, all of this is a rough draft and there's a lot of things that we need to improve on and get correct for the real thing.
In conclusion I think that we did really well for what we had we managed to layout everything we wanted to do and with the time that we did it gives us confidence that on the day we will have plenty of time to complete our opening sequence another really good thing is that we worked really well together and we were able to move around all the issues we had and we adapted and it turned out really well obviously this fun idea is not what we want our opening sequence to look like it's just a basis for us to work off and it gave us an understanding of what our final sequence may look like and what we need to do to improve it and we all are on the right track too making this the best we can.
