Titles
Titles give the key roles in production and creative names involved in making and producing and for the people who played for the film to be made. They are included to give the main people involved credit it before the film. The opening titles are always done in the same order they roles that could be included are:
- Director
- Main star
- Production
- Produced by
- Film title
- Money
- Directors name film
- Actor 1 – (end of main section)
- Actor 2
- Actor 3
- Actor 4
- Actor 5
- Casting
- Costume designer
- Music
- Editing
- Director of Photography
- (DOP) Production designer
- Executive Producer
- Based upon
- Screen play (writer)
However, these are not all of these are used all the time only the main people involved are always there depending on the film it varies each time, but they usually include 21 films.
One of the primary functions of a title sequences is to set the tone of the movie you are about to see. It presents the tittle and key production and cast members, utilising conceptual visuals and sound.
Creative aspect of a title sequence:
- Font/style
- Colours
- Framing/screen placement
- Pace of credits, transitions and edit
